An accomplished administrator and nurse,
Dr. Penque began her career as a staff nurse
at Syosset Hospital. She earned an R.N.
from Lenox Hill Hospital School of Nursing
and holds degrees from C.W. Post College
and Adelphi University, including a doctoral
degree in nursing from the University of Dr. Penque is the recipient of many honors and awards for her work. She has also authored a number of publications and research papers for the advancement of nursing and patient safety.

South Nassau has appointed Sue Penque, Ph.D., R.N., C.N.P., senior vice president and chief nursing officer. Dr. Penque, who hails from Long Island, comes to South Nassau from the North Memorial Health Care System in Robbinsdale, Minn., where she served as chief nursing officer of the system.
